Odds: Wake Forest opened as a 3-point favorite. It dropped to 2.5, but is up to 4 as of the time of publication. Over/Under opened at 56, but is down to 53.
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons return home to take on the Syracuse Orange. This is a game I feel reasonable about every year, yet Wake Forest has not beaten Syracuse in football since the Orange joined the conference. But this year Wake Forest is actually a Vegas favorite.
The Deacs will have to contend with Syracuse’s tempo and air raid attack. Wake has gotten off to slow starts this season, and Syracuse has gotten off to pretty strong starts. Wake typically chooses to defer when they win the coin toss, but I think they should choose to receive first if they are fortunate enough to win the coin toss on Saturday night.
It should be an exciting game on Saturday night, and I’m excited to see how the Deacs perform. As always, go Deacs!
