How can you catch the Deacs?

Wake Forest (5-2) vs. Army (4-3)

Winston-Salem, North Carolina (BB&T Field)

Odds: Wake Forest is favored by 7 points. Over/Under is 41.5 points. Most recent lines here.

Our beloved Demon Deacons enter this game with the ability to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2011. Of course, the players and the coaching staff will state that their entire goal is to go 1-0 this week and that the rest will take care of itself. It’s tough to argue with the coaching staff’ philosophy, given that they are sitting at 5-2.

Army is a much improved team this season, and Wake Forest has been fortunate to beat them over the past two years, but Wake is also much improved. I believe that Wake matches well against Army’s triple option attack given Wake’s strong ability to stop the run. Army’s defense is better, but Wake’s offense is improving and I believe that Cortez Lewis will have a big afternoon.

I hope that you can make it out to BB&T Field! If not, be sure to catch it on tv.
