Odds: NC State favored by 12 points. Over/Under is 48.5 points.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons and North Carolina State Wolfpack will meet on Saturday for the 110th time. The Demon Deacons enter the contest 4-0, while State comes in at 2-1. Despite the discrepancy in records, Wake Forest is a 12-point underdog. State embarrassed Wake Forest in Winston-Salem last season. Though the score was “just” 35-17, State was up 28-0 after the first quarter and never looked back.

Wake gave up far too many big plays through the air against Indiana, but was still able to force enough turnovers (5!!) to win 33-28. Still, forcing that many turnovers is not sustainable. Wake has to do a better job tackling receivers, and not allowing many yards after catch. State is a good running team, so that will be a nice matchup of strength on strength when they go against Wake’s front 7.

I’m excited for the game, and I hope you all will join us in the game thread once the game kicks off. As always, go Deacs!
