Odds: North Carolina is favored by 18. Over/Under is 166 points.

Last year, in a moment of idiocy, I thought that Wake Forest was going to upset North Carolina. Wake had played three very close games against Louisville, Duke, and Syracuse, but came up just short in all three. The Deacs had 8 days to prepare for the Heels and were at home, but ultimately lost 87-71.

Today, I'm feeling as though there is very little hope for the Deacs. I am struggling to see how Wake can stop their penetration. They have so many versatile offensive players, and they have tremendous length. They have lost two games, both on the road, by a combined six points. Each of their wins has been by at least eight points. The evidence overwhelmingly indicates that the Heels win in a rout tonight. I was very wrong last year. I hope to be very wrong this year, but I doubt it. Still, I'm curious to see how Wake responds from a tough loss at Virginia Tech, and an embarrassing loss against Syracuse.

As always, go Deacs!
