Rough, close loss for a Wake Forest team that needed to win last night to stay on pace for a 9-9 ACC record that most fans want to see. The Hokies scored at will in the first half, and scored 93 points in a regulation game, doing just enough to win 93-91 over the Deacs.

- There appears to be an issue pulling in the minutes, which is resulting in no lineup data, as well as incorrect "tempo-based" statistics. Hopefully that will be remedied as the day goes along and I can add it.
- It is really, really hard to shoot 59% from the field, and 54% from three-point land and lose an ACC basketball game. There is no way to sugarcoat it, our defense is an absolute abomination for an ACC team that has visions of making the NCAA Tournament. The pick and roll defense was some of the worst I have ever seen last night.
- Codi Miller-McIntyre, while obviously missing the free throws that would have tied the game, was absolutely fantastic last night. This is the Codi we saw the past three years before his foot injury, and he made three three-pointers, which is an extremely welcome site.
- Devin Thomas is one of the most underrated players in the conference, as well as by his own fans at Wake Forest. He got another double-double last night, and chipped in four assists, and four blocks to go with it. For reference, this season in college basketball there have been eight games of: 15+ points, 10+ rebounds, 4+ assists, and 4+ blocks, Devin has two of them. That's impressive.
- The Deacs got an absurd amount of production out of its guards, but almost nothing out of the typical wing "3" spot. While it is fantastic that the 1 and 2 are scoring the ball well, until Wake gets anything out of Hudson and McClinton, it could be rough tredding moving forward.
