Wake Forest vs. Syracuse Game Thread

Our beloved Wake Forest Demon Deacons take on the Syracuse Orange in their first ACC game of the 2015 season. Given that these teams are expected to finish 6th and 7th in the Atlantic Division, this game will probably go a very long way in determining who can avoid last place.

Wake Forest was prolific on offense against Elon, and put up 591 yards of total offense against Elon. They will go against a Syracuse defense that allowed all of zero points against Rhode Island. Syracuse's defense was the strength of its team last season, however, they are replacing the vast majority of their starters from last season.

Syracuse also has an experienced offensive line. That is concerning for a Wake Forest defense that failed to generate a pass rush against Elon. If Wake Forest can put pressure on true freshman quarterback Eric Dungey, then that can allow Wake Forest to make some plays in the secondary. Forcing turnovers and taking Syracuse off schedule will be critical.
