Evan Daniels, Scout.com's Director of Recruiting, was so impressed with Eli Wright's performance on Wednesday night that he opted to write a feature on him. Wright, who has been a target of Wake Forest for some time, has set up an official to Wake Forest for the weekend of August 1st, which is the first weekend after the July evaluation period. The Kentucky native told Daniels that Wake Forest is one of six schools recruiting him the hardest. Wright, who stands at 6'4" 180 pounds, has ideal size to play the shooting guard position at the collegiate level. If needed, he could potentially play some small forward.

Wake's primary shooting guard targets at this point appear to be Wright, Richard Washington, and Kwe Parker. Danny Manning watched both Washington and Wright last night. Wake Forest is expected to send someone to watch Parker, who will be playing in Phenom Hoop Report's AAU event in Greensboro this weekend. I don't anticipate Wake taking more than two of those three players, so this timeline will be one to watch.
2016 wing Eli Wright looks much improved. Strong, physical driver. Has been aggressive off the bounce. Made a couple 3s. Impressive showing.

We will have more updates in the next several days, which recap Wright's performances as well as who are coaches are following at AAU events this weekend.
