Brandon Chubb and Alex Kinal to Represent Wake Forest at ACC Media Days

Yes, Wake is sending a punter.

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Twitter made a few jokes this afternoon after Wake Forest announced they they would be sending linebacker Brandon Chubb and PUNTER Alex Kinal to ACC Media Days. This is a punter who is #onpace to shatter NCAA records. His prolific punting has won the admiration of the Blogger So Dear staff, and as a show of thanks we "kicked off" a Heisman Campaign for Mr. Kinal.

What are your thoughts on Wake sending a punter to ACC Media Days? Does it even matter? Do you all have another player in mind who Wake should send? Some candidates who come to mind are John Wolford and Hunter Williams. But it's worth keeping in mind that Clawson did not let Wolford talk to the media for several weeks last season. Hunter Williams has an incredible story of walk-on to team captain, and is really the only person besides Wolford I would send over Kinal. Lost in this is the fact that Chubb should be a high NFL pick and will be one of the most productive linebackers in Wake Forest history.

Most of the talented players on this team are underlcassmen. I anticipate this is the last time that Clawson takes a punter with him to ACC Media Days.
