Jonathan Isaac, an elite 2016 small forward, has trimmed his list of schools down to 12. Wake Forest, who was one of the first high major teams to notice Isaac, has made the cut. Manning and his staff continue to demonstrate the ability to identify talent earlier than others. The Deacs first offered Isaac in November, but since then, his recruitment has exploded. In January, he was a consensus top 75 to 90 player, but now he is ranked 7th overall by 247, and is 37th in the composite ratings.
There's no telling how much of a factor, if any, Wake Forest's early involvement will play in Isaac's recruiting process. Wake Forest desperately needs a slashing wing in the 2016 class, and Isaac would be a monster addition. It's a list of 12, so I wouldn't read too much into this, but it's nice to know that Wake Forest is still being considered. Now, Wake needs to make the top 5 and get an official visit. Still, it will be difficult to beat backyard team Florida State, as well as Kentucky.
His List of 12 (In order of revel) Includes:
- LSU
- Texas
- Auburn
- Michigan
- Florida State
- Wisconsin
- Miami
- California
- Kentucky
- Stanford
- Wake Forest
- Virginia
