LaRonde Liverpool Commits to Wake Forest

The Deacs have added talent from the 757.

Student Sports

The Wake Forest 2016 recruiting class got stronger today when the Demon Deacons added LaRonde Liverpool. Liverpool is a 3-star linebacker from Virginia Beach, Virginia, who is ranked as the 63rd best linebacker in the 2016 recruiting class, according to 247's Composite Ratings. The 6'3" 225 pound linebacker also had offers from Indiana, North Carolina State, Vanderbilt, and Virginia. Those are exactly the types of schools that Wake Forest needs to beat in recruiting battles, if Wake Forest is going to return to bowl eligibility in the future.

Linebacker is currently the best unit on the Wake Forest football team, and the addition of Liverpool will help solidify the unit in the future. The unit currently features Preseason All-ACC linebackers Brandon Chubb, Marquel Lee, and Hunter Williams, but Chubb and Williams will graduate by the time Liverpool steps foot on campus. Fortunately, the Deacs have a good corps of reserves in redshirt freshman Zack Wary, as well as sophomore Jaboree Williams. The staff is also high on Nate Mays and Chris Calhoun, who are both linebackers in the 2015 recruiting class.

Please join me in welcoming LaRonde to Wake Forest!
