Deshawn Corprew was a late addition to this week's NBA Top 100 Camp, but he is making the most of his opportunity, and scouts are taking notice. Corprew is originally from Virginia Beach, but he plays his high school ball for Quality Education Academy in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He's a 6'5" shooting guard/small forward, who is ranked as a 3 star in the 2016 recruiting class.
Corprew is continuing a streak of continued improvement from his junior season. In 16 EYBL games for Boo Williams, he is averaging 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals, while shooting 43% from beyond the arc, and 73% from the charity stripe.
Wake Forest is in need of wings in the 2016 class, and Corprew seems like a very quality player based on what scouts are saying about his performance. It's difficult to determine exactly what his offer sheet is, but I believe Manning and the staff should start to get involve with this young man. His recruitiment will be an interesting one to follow over the next several months.
