ACC Announces Early Season Football Game Times

ACC football game times/channels announced. Set your calendars accordingly.

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

The ACC has announced the game times and television channels for the first three weeks of ACC football action.  Wake Forest and other ACC fans can now make their exact plans for viewing parties and tailgates that will take place 4 months from now. Remember, it's never too early to start planning a tailgate. I highly recommend Wake Forest fans go ahead and request a vacation day for Thursday, September 3rd. If you plan on going really hard at the tailgate, then go ahead and request the 4th off too. Without further ado, here  are your  known times and channels.

Wake Forest's First 3 Games

  • Elon - Thursday, September 3rd at 7 p.m. on ESPN3
  • at Syracuse - Saturday, September 12th at 12:30 p.m. on ACC Network
  • at Army - Saturday, September 19th at noon on CBS Sports Network
Other Known Wake Forest Game Times & Channels
  • Louisville - Friday, October 30th at 7 p.m. on ESPN2
  • at Notre Dame - Saturday, November 14th at 3:30 p.m. on NBC
Not much analysis here given that two of the first three games are already on the road. When Wake plays road games then I prefer to have them be at this time slot, and that way you can plan to do something the rest of the afternoon. For a tailgate, obviously the later the better. Regarding the games themselves, that Syracuse game is the most important game we will play all season, in my opinion. I believe it will set the tone for the season and be a very strong indicator for Wake Forest fans where the team is heading this season.

What are your thoughts on the times?
