2016 Wide Receiver Jeremiah Brown Commits to Wake Forest

The Deacs picked up their second commit in as many days.

Student Sports

Jeremiah Brown, a 6'2" 173 pound receiver out of Southwest Guilford High School in High Point, North Carolina, has verbally committed to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Brown runs a 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and averaged more than 18 yards per reception over each of the past two seasons. Brown chose Wake over Virginia, Old Dominion, and Appalachian State. He is a consensus 3-star prospect and rated as one of the best 1,100 prospects in the 2016 class. His biggest asset is his speed.

Wake Forest continues to rack up in-state prospects. Yesterday the Deacs landed quarterback Jamie Newman out of Graham High School, and today they pick up a pledge from High Point. With prospects continuing to commit earlier in the recruiting cycle, it's essential to get recruits on campus. Obviously the closer a recruit lives to campus, the easier it is to get them to actually visit. Wake Forest 2016 class currently has six commits, and three of them are from North Carolina.
