2016 Quarterback Jamie Newman Commits to Wake Forest

Wake Forest has landed a HUGE quarterback prospect.

Student Sports

Wake Forest added another player to its 2016 recruiting class today with the addition of Jamie Newman. Newman is a 6'4" 237 pound dual-threat quarterback out of Graham, North Carolina. He is the 17th best dual-threat quarterback prospect in the country according to the 247 Composite Rating, and he chose Wake Forest over Boston College, Duke, North Carolina State, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia.

National analysts have been raving about Newman's ability. He is built like a linebacker, but is an underrated passer. Wake Forest fans should be very excited about this addition. Coach Clawson and his staff continue to add depth and versatility to the quarterback position. Please join me in welcoming Jamie to Wake Forest!
