NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 Open Thread: TV Channels & Game Times

Wake's not playing, but we know you're probably watching.

We made it. We made it to Thursday, and March Madness will officially be back tonight at 7:15 when Wichita State takes on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Can Gregg Marshall lead Wichita State past Notre Dame? If so, that potentially sets up a very intriguing matchup with the Kentucky Wildcats.

At 7:47, the North Carolina Tar Heels will play the #1 seed Wisconsin Badgers. That will be a battle of tempos. Frank Kaminsky will present a serious matchup problem for the Tar Heels if Joel James is forced to defend Kaminsky on the perimeter in pick and pop situations.

I hate to break it to WVU fans, but your team probably isn't going to win tonight. WVU plays an ugly brand of basketball, in that their scoring is largely dependent upon offensive rebounding and forcing turnovers. They are very good at this, but I think Kentucky's length is going to limit WVU's second chance opportunities in this one.

Finally, if you can stay up late enough, then I highly recommend watching the Arizona Wildcats. Sean Miller is building that program out west, and their starting five is nearly as talented as Kentucky's. They have excellent size and athleticism, in addition to some shooting. This is a team who can upset Kentucky.

Who are you all rooting for? How is everyone's bracket doing?
