Aaron Rountree to Graduate Early & Transfer Per ESPN's Jeff Goodman

Another scholarship opened up for Danny Manning.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

ESPN's Jeff Goodman reported this afternoon that Aaron Rountree III will graduate after three years at Wake Forest, and will then transfer. Goodman also reports that Daniel Green will graduate early & transfer, but that was previously known because Green is listed as a senior on the school's website and was a participant in senior night activities.

Aaron was part of the 2012 seven man recruiting class that saw Tyler Cavanaugh and Arnaud William Adala Moto transfer after last season. Tree averaged 14 minutes, 2.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists this season. Tree has always been a fan favorite, and we wish him and Daniel Green the best moving forward.

This now opens up one more scholarship for Danny Manning to utilize heading into next season. He could go the graduate transfer route a la Darius Leonard or Coron Williams. He could also add another player to the 2015 recruiting class. Several months ago he was scouting Curtis Cobb, and Cobb said that he planned on taking an official visit to Wake Forest shortly.
