Wake Forest was looking for its first three game winning streak in the ACC since 2010, but the Yellow Jackets jumped out to an 11-0 lead to start the game and led by as much as 23 en route to a 73-59 romp
if it wasn't for Cornelius Hudson, the Deacs would've been completely blown out. The freshman from Dallas scored a career high 19 points in the losing effort.
Both Devin Thomas and Codi Miller-McIntyre were nearly non-existent in the first half, combining for just two points. With the current makeup of this team it cannot afford for one of those players to have a bad game and they both did.
Georgia Tech led 34-22 at the half following another bungled last minute possession by the Deacs.
The Yellow Jackets are better than their record indicates, but this was a typical road performance that you would expect from a Jeff Bzdelik coached team, not a Danny Manning one. Allowing 11-0 runs to start both halves is inexcusable, especially agains the last place team in the conference.
I don't really have a lot to say about the game. It was a thorough ass-whooping and hopefully Coach Manning gets the team ready to play against Miami next week.
