Elontae Bateman, a defensive tackle out of an excellent football program in Memphis, Tennessee, has signed up to play football at Wake Forest University. He was originally committed to Arkansas State, but flipped to the Deacs following an official visit on January 16th. Bateman is 6'3" 260 pounds and is a 3-star recruit according to 247 Sports. 247 also ranks him as the 102nd best defensive tackle in the class. He was a 2-time Memphis DL of the year.
It never hurts to have too many linemen to stop the run, so this is a nice late addition for the Wake Forest program. Continue to follow Blogger So Dear for the latest Wake Forest football recruiting news.
