Alex Bachman Signs with Wake Forest

Wake Forest expands their 2015 geographic class footprint in wide receiver Alex Bachman of California.

Student Sports

Wide receiver Alex Bachman officially signed his letter of intent today, indicating that he will be headed to Winston-Salem next season to play football for Wake Forest University and head coach Dave Clawson. He is out of Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California.

Bachman earned his scholarship offer by performing  at a very high level during Wake Forest's football camp on June 12th (videos below). Similarly, Blogger So Dear is told he performed extremely well in the combine evaluations. Bachman will be joined in the 2015 recruiting class by fellow receivers Tabari Hines out of South Carolina and Steven Claude out of Florida. Receivers will be needed moving forward as Wake Forest 2014 signee wide receiver Kam Uter opted to sign a contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. E.J. Scott, Matt James & Brandon Terry all graduated following the 2014 season.

According to Maxpreps, Alex played in seven games and caught 13 passes for 195 total yards and one touchdown. He also played safety on defense and recorded 34 tackles and four interceptions. He had two punt returns for a total of 33 yards.

Please join me in welcoming Alex to Wake Forest! You can follow him on Twitter, where he announced his commitment to Wake last June, @DavidABachman.
