Wake Forest and Purdue announced today that the schools have agreed to a home-and-home series. Purdue will host Wake Forest on September 12, 2026, while Wake Forest will host Purdue on either September 2nd or 4th of 2027. These games will meet the requirement of having to play at least one Power 5 opponent out of conference each season. Wake Forest also has out-of-conference series set up with Indiana,Ole Miss and North Carolina.

I could go into some detail about how Purdue was 81st in F/+ ratings this past season, but many of the players who will be playing in this series are currently in 1st or 2nd grade. Drew Brees' son may be their starting quarterback at that point, so if he is we could be in trouble.
