Tyree Harris announced on his Twitter page that he will be transferring from Wake Forest University. The wide receiver played in eight games with six starts as a true freshman in 2013. His breakout performance was against Miami when he hauled in 6 receptions for 95 yards. Harris was then redshirted during the 2014 season to get stronger. In the 2015 season, however, Harris appeared in just 3 games, and finished with 2 receptions for 15 yards.
I want to thank Wake Forest University for the time being. I will be transferring from Wake Forest. I had a great time here. #NewChapter— Tyree Harris (@th1two) December 6, 2015
But my education is very important to me, therefore I will be graduating early to get my degree & will have two extra years of eligibility.— Tyree Harris (@th1two) December 6, 2015
We wish Tyree nothing but the best. It's very commendable that he will be able to graduate in three years, and be able to pursue a master's degree over the next two. Those are the kinds of excellent opportunities a football scholarship can provide, and it's great to see him placing such a high value on his education.
At this time it is unknown where Tyree will land. He is from Marietta, Georgia, and originally chose Wake Forest over Mississippi State. I think a number of schools will take a chance on him.
