KenPom: Wake Forest wins 78-70 (79% win probability)
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons will look to improve to 8-2 on the young season when they host the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. A win would give the Deacs a five-game winning streak, which would be Wake's longest since the 2013-2014 season. In order to do that they will have to defeat the two-time defending Big South Champions.
The Chanticleers will be without Colton Ray-St Cyr and Michel Enanga. Ray-St Cyr is a big loss, as he was averaging 8.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in 24 minutes per contest. Enanga was averaging 6 points and 5.4 rebounds in just under 18 minutes per contest. Those two made up approximately 25% of Coastal Carolina's rebounds, so that should give Wake Forest a big advantage on the glass, and on the inside in general.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Codi has progressed from the other night. He looked tentative, but did seem to perform better in the second half. The team has had time to practice together, and should be a more cohesive unit.
As always, go Deacs!
