BSD Predictions: Wake Forest-Rutgers Predictions

Wake Forest returns to action for their first game back on the mainland since Maui. What do the writers at BSD expect from tonight's game?

Joshua Dahl-USA TODAY Sports

Wake Forest takes on Rutgers tonight at 7 P.M. in New Jersey. Will the Demon Deacons move to 5-2 on the season and become the first ACC team to win two true road games this year (as they are currently the only ACC team to win a single true road game) or will they disappoint coming back from Hawai'i and fall to 4-3?

Bart: Wake 76-64

Marc: Wake 78-76

Ned: Wake 78-71. The RAC will be the toughest environment the Deacs have played in yet, but following a successful trip to Maui Danny Manning has his squad ready to play and WF gets out to an early lead. Free throws down the stretch maintain the distance and Wake moves to 5-2.

Chris: Wake 72-66. The Deacs have been a bit manic this year - at times the offensive creativity is strong, at times the team looks lethargic on both ends. Regardless, tempo and ball movement have been signatures, and as the squad nears full strength, this is a team that should be able to compete with and beat teams like Rutgers on a regular basis. Cold shooting or turnovers could be problematic, but I expect Wake to win tonight.

Riley: Wake 82-70

Bridgers: I'll take Wake 68-54. The Deacs are finally able to play at almost full strength, and ride their momentum from Maui to continue playing at a high level.

Rob: I'll take Wake to win 70-62. Wake will be too much for Rutgers on the boards, and will hopefully be able to capitalize on transition opportunities.

BSD Prediction: Wake 75-66

KenPom: Wake 80-76

Everyone from BSD who submitted a prediction picked the Deacs and KenPom agrees. What do you all expect to see tonight from the good guys in old gold and black? Let us know below and as always, go Deacs!
