Our beloved Demon Deacons will look to rebound after yet another poor showing against an in-state rival. Is the lack of a bye week so far catching up to the Deacs? I have to think that's playing some role, but that doesn't explain why Wake's worst performance last week occurred during the first quarter when they were the most fresh. The damn game was over faster than Rick Pitino "picks up the check" at a restaurant.

Tonight's game presents an interesting opportunity for Matt Colburn, who had his Louisville scholarship offer turned into a grayshirt offer just a few days before National Signing Day. This is despite the fact that he had committed to Louisville the previous summer. Personally, I'm pulling for the kid to score 4 touchdowns tonight.

The last few weeks have been brutal, but those games are irrelevant tonight. Wake Forest has an excellent opportunity to primetime to make some positive splashes. To do that, they're going to have to do an excellent job in blitz pick up. Hopefully that's easier to do than read the font on Louisville's uniforms.
