The Wake Forest Demon Deacons (3-3, 1-2) head to Chapel Hill to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels (4-1, 1-0). The Vegas oddsmakers currently have the Heels as a 17-point favorite, but Football Outsiders' S&P+ ratings currently projects Wake Forest to only be a 7-point underdog.
This game is a tremendous opportunity for the Wake Forest football program. A win would signify that Wake Forest is well ahead of schedule with regards to Dave Clawson's rebuild. It would be outstanding for recruiting in-state talent, and it would make Wake Forest just two wins away from bowl eligibility.
Beating North Carolina is much easier said than done, but I'm looking forward to watching the Deacs compete, and continue to improve under Coach Clawson. Turnovers will be critical in this one. Let's hope the Deacs have the same turnover luck that they did in Boston.
I'll be on the thread to chat. I hope it's an exciting game and we have a lot of great things to talk about. As always, go Deacs!
