The Wake Forest Demon Deacons head north this afternoon to take on the Boston College Eagles. Boston College is coming off of a 9-7 loss at Duke, while the Deacs are coming off of a 24-16 loss to Florida State. The Eagles opened up as a 9.5 point favorite, but that has been bet down to 7 or 7.5. Can Wake pull off the upset and earn its first ACC road win since 2012?
That's right, our beloved Demon Deacons do not have a road ACC win since the first Obama Administration. Thanks, Mike London! In order to get that road win today, Wake Forest will have to move the ball against one of the best defenses in the country. Boston College's run defense is spectacular, and the advanced metrics absolutely love this defense. They are top 5 nationally, according to the metrics. However, the metrics also hate BC's offense, and rank it as one of the 15 worst in the country. Can the Wake Forest defense do its job, and keep Wake in the game?
