Kendall Hinton, a prized quarterback recruit out of Durham, will enroll early at Wake Forest University and participate in spring practice. He is currently the 31st best pro-style quarterback in the 2015 recruiting class according to 247 sports. He initially committed to Wake Forest in June and chose the Deacs over offers from Duke and North Carolina State.

By enrolling early and participating in spring practice, I believe this will give Hinton a legitimate chance to compete for the starting quarterback position this fall. He is more mobile than Wolford and was more highly regarded coming out of high school. This was a major recruiting victory for Coach Clawson and his staff. I encourage you all to check him out at spring practice and in the spring game, because I think we have ourselves a quarterback competition.
As a junior he led his team to a Class 3AA state championship and on the way completed 219 out of 339 passing attempts for 3,972 yards, 39 touchdowns and just 5 interceptions. He also ran for 1,183 yards and 13 touchdowns on just 95 attempts. This past season, Hinton completed 180 of 295 passing attempts for 2,818 yards and 25 touchdowns, compared to just 2 interceptions. He also ran the ball 92 times for 933 yards and 14 touchdowns.
If the stats aren't enough, check out the highlight film below to see why he is so highly regarded.
