Wake Forest Football Recruiting Update: 1/23

Which Demon Deacons commits and targets will be visiting Winston-Salem this weekend?

Mark Dolejs-USA TODAY Sports

Uncommitted Prospects
RB Rocky Reid

Rocky Reid will take his official visit to Wake Forest this weekend. He took an official to Louisville last weekend, but left uncommitted. As of now he plans to visit West Virginia next weekend. Reid was originally committed to Tennessee and would be a huge addition to Wake Forest's 2015 class.

OL Quarvez Boulware

Is he committed to Maryland? Probably not. He had this to tweet after a "silent commitment gone wrong" got leaked by Maryland. He is a top 250 recruit, regardless of position, in the country and would be a MAJOR haul for Clawson and his staff.

QB Kyle Kearns

Kearns is a 4-star prospect out of California who was originally committed to SMU. Surprisingly Wake Forest is his only Power 5 offer, but there's no doubting his ability and physical tools. He has a strong arm and only threw 4 interceptions all of last season.

Committed Prospects
OL T.J. Haney

Haney was Wake's first commitment in the 2015 class and chose the Deacs over Vanderbilt. He has been perhaps the most outspoken proponent of Wake Forest's football program. He will be a critical part of the recruiting process in trying to get Boulware and Reid to commit to the Deacs. He's also a very good prospect who will help anchor Wake's line in years to come.

WR Scotty Washington

At 6'5" 205 pounds, Scotty Washington is a big red zone target. He has good hands and will go grab the ball at its highest point. I think this was a steal.
