Wake Forest has landed 3-star wide receiver Scotty Washington. Washington is a 6'5" 205 pound receiver out of Washington, D.C. He chose Wake Forest over offers from Boston College, Nebraska and Virginia. He will be the fourth highest rated prospect in Wake Forest's 2015 recruiting class, according to 247's composite ratings. He runs decent routes, has very good hands, and is difficult to tackle in the open field due to his size.

His height will be a valuable asset to Wake Forest's offense next season. Wake Forest loses taller receivers Matt James and Brandon Terry, plus did not land Kameron Uter after he opted to sign a professional baseball contract, so this commitment is imperative moving forward. Between Washington and our three promising tight ends, Wake Forest will have several tall red zone targets next season.
