Redshirt junior Dylan Intemann is projected to start next Thursday night at right tackle, and is also the No. 12 player on the Blogger So Dear countdown.
Out of Wake Forest-Rolesville High School in Wake Forest, NC, the 6-5-, 305 Intemann made the seamless transition to another Wake Forest for college. He was rated as the No. 42 offensive guard in the nation by Scout in 2011, and was also a three-time academic all-conference selection.
Intemann has appeared in 23 of 24 games the past two seasons, and was one of only two Deacs last year to start all 12 games (Frank Souza). He is also one of two Deacs offensive players to have double digit starts in his career, joining newly converted LG Cory Helms (11 starts).
He chose Wake Forest over N.C. State and ECU.
In high school, Intemann blocked in a Wing-T offense, allowing the Cougars to rush for over 4,000 yards in 2010 en route to 4-AA championship game.
Continuity on the offensive line has been a big issue the past few years. With the two experienced players in today's BSD Countdown on the ends, and Helms, Terry and Harris in the middle, I expect the line to improve tremendously as the season goes along, and Intemann will be a big reason why.
