Trevor Manuel is a consensus 4 star recruit in the 2015 class out of Michigan. He goes to high school at Oak Hill, a basketball powerhouse and the former high school of Shelton Mitchell, and plays AAU in the EYBL for The Family. He has been recruited by many of the top college basketball teams in the country, but recently cut his list to Wake Forest, Michigan State, Northwestern, USC, Oregon, FSU and Kansas State. Each of the seven schools will be fighting hard for a commitment from Manuel, who has the skill to make an immediate impact on the college level. Whether Wake Forest can land Trevor Manuel remains to be seen, but he is a very talented big who appears to be a great match with Danny Manning.

Trevor Manuel's biggest strength on the court is his versatility. He is at his best in the high post, where he can shoot, drive and pass extremely well. He can also score in the low post and in transition, where he can use his size and athleticism. His size and athleticism are also a huge help on the defensive end, where Manuel can stay with a wide variety of offensive players and can also help in protecting the rim. While Manuel needs to improve his strength, his skills on the basketball court are elite. This skill and versatility will be extremely valuable for whichever team he chooses and could be a very valuable asset for Danny Manning and Wake Forest.

With all of Trevor Manuel's skills, it is easy to see why Manning is really working hard to land Manuel. Manuel told us that Manning's biggest pitch to him is, "they think I would fit extremely well in the system." Whether Manuel is playing power forward or center, he should thrive with Danny Manning. Manuel has the ability to make an impact in many different ways and Manning will help him improve and showcase the impact he can make.

While Danny Manning is extremely interested in Trevor Manuel, Manuel also shares interest in Wake Forest. "They got a new coaching staff that I think will turn the program around and they are a good academic school."

Trevor Manuel has not set a date for a visit to Wake Forest, but believes he will in the future. The visit would be extremely important for Manuel, as he hopes to find what he is looking for most in a school. "I want to see that I would be able to come in and play right away and that the coaches would be the best coaches to get me to the next level."

Danny Manning and Wake Forest will have some serious competition to land Trevor Manuel, but he is a player that they are clearly prioritizing. While Manuel said that Oregon was recruiting him the hardest, he also told us that Wake Forest is recruiting him hard as well. It may be some time before we learn where Manuel goes but his decision will have a huge impact on college basketball. If Danny Manning can land Trevor Manuel, he will be getting a great player who will make an impact in many different roles. Make sure you follow Trevor Manuel on twitter @tmanuel23.
