Player: Tyree Harris
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 185 pounds
Coming in at number 17 in our player countdown is sophomore wide receiver Tyree Harris. Harris was a consensus 3-star prospect in the 2013 recruiting class. He was Wake's highest rated recruit according to 247's composite ratings and chose Wake Forest over Mississippi State.
Tyree did not play in Wake's first four games last season, but former head coach Jim Grobe decided to burn his redshirt against Army. Harris ultimately played in eight games season, including six starts. He is a candidate to have a breakout year in 2014 due to how he finished last season. In Harris' last four games he caught 15 passes for 160 yards. His most notable performance was his game against Miami in which he caught 6 passes for 96 yards. Harris had a strong spring game that included a 44-yard reception.
Tyree suffered a minor ankle injury last week during practice, but he will compete still with Matt James and Jared Crump for the X & S receiver positions. Either way, all three should get significant playing time.
