Recruiting Spotlight: Nyheim Hines

New, comments

Will the Deacs be able to capitalize on momentum and bring in one of the top offensive threats in the 2015 class?

SB Nation

Nyheim Miller-Hines is a 5-9 190lb athlete from Garner, NC. Hines is a four-star prospect and #9 on Rivals list of all-purpose backs. He currently holds offers from programs such as Clemson, Duke, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio $tate, Louisville, Notre Dame, Tennessee as well as Wake Forest. Nyheim visited yesterday along with 2015 commit Amari Henderson.

Hines is what you call an "Elite Prospect" as evident by his 3,147 rushing yards (10.5 YPC) and 50 touchdowns coupled with 613 receiving yards (17.3 average) and 8 touchdowns. The ridiculous speed shown below is no slight of hand, as his 40 has been clocked at 4.34. The vision and elusiveness displayed is off the charts and may be the only asset that is more polished than his pure speed. The most dangerous aspect of Nyheim's game is his ability to catch the ball out of the back field and line up in numerous positions on the field. There may be some questions on his ability to take inside carries and power through linebackers but you can't tackle what you can't touch and not many people can get a hand on Hines. Check out one of the more impressive highlight tapes below.

The Sproles-like offensive weapon would be a class changing addition for the Deacs. Hines is a game changer and a threat to take the ball to house every single snap, saying he would be a huge addition to the offense would be an understatement. Getting Nyheim in #CarolinaBlack would be a great thing for an already promising 2015 class.
