Wake Forest Player Countdown: No. 58 Demetrius Kemp

We roll on to No. 58 and that spot is occupied by true freshman DB Demetrius Kemp

We continue to make our way down the list, and coming in at No. 58 is Alabama product Demetrius Kemp. Kemp is a defensive back out of Demopolis, Alabama.

Rated as the No. 103 athlete in the nation by ESPN.com, Kemp utilized his 6 foot, 180 pound frame all over the field, as he played RB, WR, safety, and special teams as a senior. In 2013 he was named Demopolis HS team captain and MVP, as he helped lead the Tigers to a 7-4 record and a playoff berth.

Looking ahead at what he can do this year and beyond for Wake Forest, it seems that he will fit in at defensive back. This year will be a good transition year for Kemp, as he will likely see some time on special teams while backing up Noel and Johnson. With his speed and knack for getting to the ball, he could earn some increased PT as the season goes on if he excels in the special teams sector.

Kemp chose Wake Forest over offers from Georgia Tech, Purdue, Troy, and Northern Illinois.
