No. 60 on the Blogger So Dear football countdown list is RS tight end Cam Serigne. He is expected to compete for reps come football season, and should be a good asset for the team.
Cam Serigne came into Wake Forest as one of the best players in Briar Woods HS (Ashburn, VA) history. He is the all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown catches. He led Briar Woods to a 15-0 record during the 2012 season, and came out as the No. 45 TE recruit in the nation for the class of 2013.
His 6-foot-3, 215 frame should be good for blocking on the end, as well as providing another big body overall on offense. Given his high school statistics, it is also obvious that he can catch the ball as well.
It's always hard to predict who will come out as a starter when we have not seen a lot of the players. This is especially true of the tight end position, where the players are asked to be multi-dimensional play in and play out. We project Serigne to help the Deacs out, but likely from the second-string position.
Stay tuned as we continue our push into the 50's. Must mean football season is getting close!
