Coming in at number 71 on our player countdown is freshman Tyler Henderson. Henderson is a 5'9" 180 pounds running back out of Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia. He was a composite 2-star recruit according to 247's composite rankings, and chose Wake Forest over Air Force and Old Dominion. During his senior season he ran for more than 1,600 yards, had 397 receiving yards, and had 29 total touchdowns.
Henderson possesses great speed and runs a 4.4 second 40-yard dash, but ideally he would redshirt this season and add muscle to his frame. Henderson may end up playing this season, however, due to lack of depth at the running back position. Orville Reynolds is slated to start, with Dominique Gibson being the probably backup. Redshirt freshman Dez Wortham as well as true freshman Isaiah Robinson will also be in the mix for carries. Robinson is the biggest of the bunch, so I anticipate he will play some as a true freshman. Wortham is recovering from an achilles injury, so he is difficult to judge. The running back position really could be a rotating cast of characters, but I anticipate Clawson using this season to get Henderson stronger.
Check back later to see who is number 70 on the countdown.
