Wake Forest Football Recruiting: Quarterback Kendall Hinton Commits to Wake Forest

The Wake Forest coaching staff received some great news on Wednesday.

Student Sports

Wake Forest received its fifth commitment of the 2015 recruiting class on Wednesday when quarterback Kendall Hinton of Durham, North Carolina committed to the Demon Deacons during an unofficial visit to campus. Hinton is a consensus 3-star prospect and the 37th best pro-style quarterback in the 2015 recruiting class. Hinton chose Wake Forest over Duke and North Carolina State. This was first reported by Ben Doster of Rivals, and it has since been confirmed by Blogger So Dear.

Last season Hinton passed for nearly 4,000 yards and had nearly 1,200 rushing yards. In all, he had more than 50 total touchdowns. The Durham native led Southern High School to a Class 3AA state championship last season, which was played on BB&T Field. He should thrive in Wake's spread offense due to his excellent mobility as well as strong accuracy. He also has decent touch on the deep ball. Hinton is a big-time get for Coach Clawson and his staff.
