Wake Forest Football Recruiting Spotlight: Tight End Jake Bargas

A closer look at the tight end from Florida.

Jake Bargas is a 6'4" 235 pound tight end out of St. Andrew's School in Boca Raton, Florida. He runs a 4.65 40-yard dash and holds offers from Wake Forest, Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Kentucky & Louisville, among others. Last season he had 58 receptions for 1,078 yards and 11 touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 45 receptions for 824 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is the 31st best tight end in the class of 2015 according to 247 Sports. He was initially committed to the University of Michigan to play lacrosse, but has since decided that he wants to concentrate on football.

Bargas is an athletic tight end, who utilizes his speed to get open. He is also a solid route runner, who shows good pass-catching ability. He could improve his blocking, but he has a chance to contribute from day one wherever he chooses to attend school.
