What's going on today?

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODA

Yesterday was a very exciting one for Deacon fans as Danny Manning and his staff landed Darius Leonard, while Dave Clawson and his staff landed Lee Autry.

Coach Manning Named Court Coach for USA Basketball U18 Team

Coach Manning will assist the Team USA coaching staff during the first three days of TEAM USA's training camp. He will be assisting head coach Billy Donovan (Florida) as well as assistants Ed Cooley (Providence) and Sean Miller (Arizona). Some of the players Manning will be working with are class of 2015 recruits, so this could potentially help with recruiting.

Cyrus Stewart Competes in NCAA Golf Championship

Wake Forest freshman Cyrus Stewart will be competing this weekend in the NCAA Division I Golf Championship. Although Wake Forest failed to qualify as a team, Stewart qualified individually at the Raleigh Regional because he had the best individual score (-6) of any player whose team did not advance. You can follow the leaderboard HERE.

Terry Henderson In Play For Wake?

Henderson transferred from West Virginia after average 11.7 points per game and shooting 37.6% from beyond the arc last season. He is a Raleigh native and named a "final seven" of Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Maryland, Richmond, UCLA, Cincinnati and Rutgers.

Alexander is a class of 2015 6-8 center who plays for Athlete Institute in Canada. He has a 7'4" wingspan and his sister played in the WNBA. He's an excellent shot block and according to his coach can "really, really run." Canadian players have made a dramatic impact in the college game recently, so perhaps Wake Forest can continue that trend next season.
