Freddie Phillips Jr. Commits to North Carolina State

The 3-star athlete has made his decision.

James Guillory-USA TODAY Sports

Freddie Phillips Jr., a 6'2" 195 pound safety/wide receiver out of Pelion, South Carolina, has committed to North Carolina State University according to Ryan Bartow of 247 sports..  He chose North Carolina State over offers from North Carolina and Wake Forest. He is a composite 3-star according to 247 sports, and is rated as the 22nd best player in the state of South Carolina. He has the potential to play wide receiver, but I believe he will be utilized as a safety. He runs a 4.53 second 40, and is a versatile athlete who has the potential to enter the box and help in run support.
