Josh Harris will be attending the Dallas Cowboys' rookie minicamp this Friday, according to his personal Twitter account (a much talked about issue recently) and SB Nation's Blogging The Boys. In all, more than 40 players are scheduled to attend. The attendees include the nine (9) players drafted, 24 undrafted free agents, and 15 tryout players.
Josh finished his Wake Forest career with 2,230 yards on 489 attempts, for an average of 4.6 yards/carry, and 19 rushing touchdowns. Harris had a very strong pro day as he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds, performed 28 bench press reps, and had a broad jump of 9'11".
The other three running backs attending the minicamp will be Ben Malena of Texas A&M, Glasco Martin of Baylor, and Jyruss Edwards of Louisiana-Monroe. Malena finished his career with 1,618 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns on 320 attempts. Martin finished his career with 1,687 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns on 348 carries. Edwards finished his career with 1,927 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on 425 carries.
Last season four of the 14 invited for a tryout ended up attending training camp in August, though none made the final roster. Blogger So Dear will continue to keep you updated on Josh Harris' quest to make an NFL roster.
