Brett Ballard to Join Wake Forest's Staff

The former Tulsa assistant is heading to Wake Forest to join Danny Manning's staff.

Bob Donnan-US PRESSWIRE

According to his Twitter account, Brett Ballard will be joining Danny Manning's staff  at Wake Forest after having spent the previous two years as an assistant at Tulsa under Manning.

Prior to joining the Tulsa staff, he was the head coach at Baker University in Kansas for two seasons. During his second year he led Baker University to a 21-12 record, including the school's first NAIA berth since 1996. The school's president said that Ballard " became a leader on campus and within the community."

Ballard also has ties to Kansas University like other members of the staff. Ballard played under Roy Williams for two seasons as a walk-on and after that he served on the staff in multiple capacities for seven seasons. He was the director of basketball operations, a video coordinator/administrative assistant, and a student assistant.

Coach Ballard will be joined by fellow assistant Steve Woodberry as well as the Justin Bauman, who will be the new director of basketball operations. Please join me in welcoming Brett to Winston-Salem! You can follow coach Ballard on Twitter.
