Wake Forest will be introducing new head men's basketball coach Danny Manning to the community on Tuesday evening at 6:30 at "Mann the Quad." The event will last until approximately 8:00 p.m. The pep band will be there to welcome our new basketball coach and I strongly encourage everyone who can be attendance on Tuesday night to come out and welcome coach Manning to Wake Forest University. The event will have free food, music and other giveaways. It will be a time to celebrate a new beginning in Wake Forest basketball among fellow students, fans and alums.
Manning will hold a question and answer section from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Following the q&a, coach Manning will be available to meet with fans and have his photo taken.
Manning has a career record of 38-29 in his two seasons as head coach and was named C-USA Coach of the Year. He led the Tulsa Golden Hurricane past the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in the C-USA Tournament championship game and clinched an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. It was their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2003.
Danny Manning will be holding his first press conference as head coach on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Rovere Room of the Miller Center. Please follow the big fella on Twitter @CoachDManning.
If you take any pictures at the event, please tweet them to @BloggerSoDear and we will retweet the best ones. I hope to see you out there and go Deacs!
