Wake Forest Basketball Recruiting: Wake Offers 2016 Shooting Guard Josh Langford

Josh Langford is a very talented wing scorer and defender in the 2016 class. He is currently rated 13th in the class by ESPN and has gotten major interest by many of the top schools in the country. On Sunday, Danny Manning offered this very talented wing from Alabama. The offer came after Langford's last AAU game in this weekend's Adidas Uprising tournament. In the tournament, Langford and the Atlanta Celtics were 5-0, with Langford averaging 16.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

When giving his personal scouting report, Josh Langford did not sell himself short. He said, "I am very explosive. I can get in the lane, make things happen and make my teammates better. I have a good mid range game and can handle the ball. I can guard the 1-4 positions and I am a great rebounder."

Although Wake Forest is a school that just recently began recruiting Josh Langford, it appears like it will be a school he considers. About Wake Forest, he responded "I like Wake Forest. They are in a great conference in the ACC. They also have have a new coach that's a legendary player himself."

While Langford has interest from many of the top schools in the country, he is not counting any team out: "Right now, I'm concentrating on getting better. I'm keeping my options wide open. At the end of the summer, I will revaluate with my parents."

When asked about a visit, he said "I would like to attend some practices and games but as of right now, I have no official plans." Like many other top recruits, getting Josh Langford on campus would be big news and key in him joining Wake Forest. No date is set but expect Josh Langford to be at Wake Forest in the near future.

Josh Langford ended with a message for Wake Forest fans: "Keep supporting the Demon Deacons. I want to see an exciting environment when I come! Also I don't have any social media. @joshlangford44 is a fake account." Josh Langford is a very talented player and someone that Danny Manning will likely continue to pursue.

Langford also holds offers from many SEC schools as well as Indiana and Memphis.
