Allonzo Trier is a 6'4 shooting guard from Montrose Christian School in Rockville, Maryland, where a player by the name of Kevin Durant also played. Trier is a top 50 prospect and consensus high 4-star who projects to be an elite shooting guard at the college level. On Tuesday, he picked up an offer from Wake Forest after Danny Manning previously offered Trier while at Tulsa. Trier also fields offers from Baylor, Indiana, Georgetown, Minnesota, Marquette, Memphis, NCST, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., SMU and Wichita State.
Just off the phone with coach Woodberry and coach Danny Manning of Wake Forest and received a scholarship offer. #DemonDeacons

Trier's tape shows a lethal combination of finesse and power. Allonzo is a very crafty scorer and always seems to be a step ahead of his opponent. He has moves in his repertoire that are already High-Major ready, most notably being his smooth stutter step and use of the ball fake. Allonzo is an excellent ball handler with a quick first step that allows him to get to the bucket or step back and pull up. When Trier gets to the rim he has the size to finish through contact and the athleticism to go over the top. He is one of the most well rounded prospects in the 2015 class and his competitive attitude shows a player that is determined to improve. Allonzo Trier was the 2014 Gatorade Player of the year in Maryland, averaging 25 points, 3.5 boards, and 2.8 assists as a junior. I believe landing Trier would make Wake a legitimate contender in the ACC and perhaps bring back flashes of the glory days.
