Shaka Smart Updates

We'll do our best to follow along with the Shaka news as the day goes along.

Shaka Smart is the most sought after head coaching candidate this offseason and for good reason. At just 36 years of age, he's already been to the Final Four, won the C.B.I., won at least 26 games in each of his five seasons, and has now made four consecutive NCAA Tournaments. His teams employ a "Havoc" defense which create chaos for opposing offenses and bring joy to the VCU fans in the arena.

Rumors were rampant yesterday that Shaka Smart to Marquette was a 'done deal' yesterday, but those were proven to be incorrect. Riley Johnston did an excellent job recapping yesterday's events.

Adam Finkelstein reported today that Shaka Smart has contacted his VCU commits and their coaches to inform them he isn't going anywhere.

Masiello took Manhattan to the NCAA Tournament this year and was thought to potentially be a dark horse candidate for the Wake position.

So follow along with us throughout the day and discuss your thought process. Share your emotions as rumors leak. What do you guys think is ultimately going to happen?
