Meet new tight end commit, Devin Pike.

Devin Pike - (6-6/225) Elder (Ohio)

Devin Pike was the second commit in this class to decommit from Louisville and ultimately sign with Wake Forest. The other being defensive end, Rashawn Shaw. At 6-6, Pike is a legitimate red zone threat  and a very good blocker in the run game. Pike is the younger brother of former Cincinnati standout, Tony Pike. Devin averaged more than 11 yards per reception this past season and scored two touchdowns. Tight end is a position which was not utilized often under previous offensive coordinator Steed Lobotzke, so how often this new coaching staff uses the tight ends will be something to watch. Wake Forest has signed three tight ends over the past two seasons, included highly touted Zach Gordon. Given his size and question marks about the position, it's certainly not unrealistic to think Pike could start this upcoming season.

Pike had offers from Minnesota and Virginia in addition to Wake Forest and Louisville.
