Here are the two highly touted quarterbacks.
Travis Smith - (6-1/210) Ithaca High School (Michigan)
Travis Smith is the 2013 Gatorade Michigan Player of the Year. During his career, he won four state titles, including three as the starting quarterback. He went 41-0 as a starting quarterback and threw for more than 8,000 yards and 104 touchdowns. Smith is a dual-threat quarterback and also ran for more than 2,300 yards on the ground and a whopping 48 rushing touchdowns. During his senior season he passed for more than 3,000 yards and had 42 touchdowns to just 7 interceptions. Smith was originally committed to Toledo, but ultimately decided to commit to Wake Forest following his visit on the weekend of January 24th. Travis Smith will have a legitimate chance to be the starting quarterback next year.
John Wolford - (6-1/210) Bishop Kenny (Florida)
John Wolford comes to Wake Forest by way of Jacksonville, Florida, which was also home to the great Riley Skinner. During his senior campaign, Wolford threw for more than 3,300 yards, 38 touchdowns and just 7 interceptions. Like Smith, Wolford is also a dual-threat and ran for more than 900 yards and 14 touchdowns. For his phenomenal efforts, Wolford was named 1st-team all-state in Florida's Class 5A as well as an honorable mention Parade All-American. Over his career he passed for 126 touchdowns, which broke the old record by set by a guy by the name of Tim Tebow. Wolford also has a chance to play immediately, and the quarterback battle among Wolford, Smith and Tyler Cameron should be a great one to watch in practice.
