Nyheim Hines has announced that he will be staying close to home and playing football next season for North Carolina State University. Hines is a 4-star prospect, and rated as the #2 all-purpose back in the country according to 247's composite ratings. Hines chose the Wolfpack over offers from Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Duke, Florida, Georgia and Ohio State.

This past season the Garner High School product ran for 2,362 yards and 38 touchdowns. As a junior, he ran for 3,149 yards and 50, yes 50, touchdowns. I expect Hines to play this fall as a true freshman and make an impact as a back, receiver and special teams player. This is an excellent pickup for North Carolina State.
Hines officially visited Wake Forest on the same weekend that the Demon Deacons defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies 6-3 in double overtime. Hines will be joined by his twin sister Nyah Hines, who Wake Forest recently offered a track scholarship. Wake Forest will now look elsewhere for a running back in the 2015 recruiting class. I expect the Deacs to continue making a serious push for Marcus Marshall.
