Rondale Watson is a 6'3" 190 pound combo guard out of Greenbrier East High School in Lewisburg, West Virginia. He initially committed to Wake Forest in September of 2013, and at the time was a relatively known prospect. Watson concluded his preparatory career as a three-time all-state selection, including first-team honors as a senior. He averaged more than 20 points per game in each of his final two seasons, and shot 35% from beyond the arc as a senior.
It's anyone's guess as to where Rondale fits into the back court situation on this year's team. He has the potential to provide the Deacs a lift with his athleticism and shooting ability, but we will see if he cracks the rotation. Rondale has the potential to crack the rotation, but it will be a constant battle for playing time all season. I'm looking forward to watching Rondale perform in the exhibition game tonight, as he remains a huge unknown headed into the season. In the meantime, check out his senior highlight tape below.
